2020 Network Data Freeze

DEAR CLIENTS,

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN – THE BIG ‘FREEZE’!
We hope you are well and staying safe.
With less than 40 days to Christmas, we need to advise you on when the network freeze 2020-21 will take place and how it will affect you.

WHAT IS THE FREEZE?
Invosys’ network providers impose an operational ‘Freeze’ every year to protect customers during the busy seasonal period.

The ‘Freeze’ restricts any non-essential activity on the network. This means that our suppliers will place a hold on Number Provisioning, Network Porting and Network Changes to existing Invosys numbers, during this period.

WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE FREEZE?
The reason for the Network Freeze is to ensure our customers can deliver their services at the busiest time of year with confidence. It also minimizes the risk of network instability at a critical trading time.

WHEN DOES THE FREEZE TAKE PLACE?
The Christmas 2020 Change Freeze will run from 17:00 on Friday 11th December 2020 and ends at 9:00 on Monday 4th January 2021.

We therefore require all orders to be submitted to Invosys by 17:00 on Wednesday 9th December 2020 so that we can ensure to get all orders to the network before the freeze begins.

Please be aware that any numbers and services on the Invosys platforms will be available through your normal login details.

HOW DOES THE FREEZE IMPACT ME?
You can rest assured that no non-essential work will take place on the network that could affect the stability of your services. All numbers and services that are running on the Invosys platforms will be available as normal.

All existing orders placed prior to the freeze will continue as usual, but Invosys will not be able to submit new number orders (including international numbers) or place any new port & migration orders to our network suppliers during this period.

We have increased our UK number stock in preparation for the Freeze and can supply numbers that we have available, including our own Invosys ranges. For your hardware orders please be aware that delivery times may be delayed due to the festive period.

Please make sure you are prepared in advance of the Data Freeze to ensure your business continuity over the Christmas season.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
